Andrea Lindenberg - Morning/Midday anchor

Andrea Lindenberg is a Birmingham native who grew up in Shelby County and graduated from Auburn University.

Her first job was with the CBS affiliate in Birmingham, where she worked for three years. Early in her career, she decided to stay put in her hometown, so her next move was down the street to what was then the ABC affiliate, Channel 6. Andrea worked her way up from associate producer to anchor of the 9pm and 10pm newscasts, along with the health segments. She was with the station for 11 years. When the station switched to FOX, Andrea was part of the Emmy-nominated News at 9:00.

Andrea took a three year break from broadcasting to hang out with her family (Husband, four kids, dog, rabbits, etc) Now that her youngest child is in school, she's up for the challenge of morning news.

Andrea has earned several awards from the Associated Press, including Best Reporter and Best Specialized Reporter for consumer reporting. She has also earned two Edward R. Murrow awards - one for her investigative reporting, the other for her live coverage of the Olympic Park Bombing.
