Mike Royer is the co-anchor of newscasts at 5 p.m., 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. weekdays.

He also produces "The Spirit of Alabama" series on Wednesdays, which airs at 10 p.m.

Mike began his television career at WTWO in Terre Haute, Ind., in 1975. He came to Birmingham in 1979 and has been at NBC 13 since 1990.

He was named Alabama's Best Television Weathercaster by the Associated Press News Service five times. He received a regional Emmy nomination as Outstanding News Anchor and was a member of the NBC13HD News team that won an Emmy for Best Newscast.
