Saban Gives Scholarships To Alabama Walk-ons

    TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) - Alabama coach Nick Saban has awarded
three scholarships to walk-on players.
    He said Tuesday placekicker Leigh Tiffin, punter P.J. Fitzgerald
and defensive back Tyrone King were given scholarships.
    Saban said the three had played the most significant role of any
of the Crimson Tide’s walk-ons.
    Tiffin and Fitzgerald were starters last season. King played in
12 games mostly on special teams.
