AUBURN, Ala. (AP) - The Auburn Tigers are considering their
options at quarterback.
Coach Tommy Tuberville said Sunday he will look at freshman
Barrett Trotter and little-used reserve Neil Caudle during the
Tigers’ open date. Both Kodi Burns and Chris Todd continued to
struggle in a 25-22 loss to Arkansas.
The Tigers fell out of the national rankings Sunday after losing
back-to-back Southeastern Conference games for the first time since
2003. They play at West Virginia on Oct. 23.
Tuberville said injured cornerback Jerraud Powers is “50-50”
for the game. He also said doctors planned to X-ray Tray Blackmon’s
wrist and weren’t ruling out surgery as an option.
Several other key players were limited by injury in the game.
