Alabama to face Kansas State in Mobile

MOBILE, Ala. (AP) - Anthony Grant’s first Alabama basketball team will face Kansas State in December at the Coors Classic in Mobile.

The game will highlight a doubleheader on Dec. 19 at South Alabama’s Mitchell Center.

South Alabama will also meet UAB. The Blazers and Jaguars have played 40 times but haven’t met since New Year’s Eve in 2004.

Alabama’s Grant is friends with Kansas State coach Frank Martin, a fellow Miami native.

The Crimson Tide is 3-0 in Coors Classic appearances, the most recent coming against Southern Miss in 2006.
