Saban: Hightower’s surgery completed

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) - Alabama star linebacker Dont’a Hightower has undergone surgery to repair a torn knee ligament.

Coach Nick Saban said Wednesday the operation was successful and the surgeon believes Hightower will make a full recovery. Hightower’s left knee was injured on a cut block against Arkansas last weekend.

The sophomore inside linebacker for No. 3 Alabama will miss the rest of the season. He is one of the Crimson Tide’s top defenders and was an immediate starter as a freshman.
