Ole Miss hoping for ‘08 repeat, but not AU

AUBURN, Ala. (AP) - No. 24 Mississippi is hoping for a repeat of the 2008 season. Auburn wants to avoid one.

The two teams meet on Saturday headed in opposite directions - just like last season. The Rebels (5-2, 2-2 Southeastern Conference) have won two straight after winning six in a row to end last season.

The Tigers (5-3, 2-3) have dropped three straight games and sparked painful memories for fans who witnessed the team fall apart last season - losing six of seven.

Ole Miss has won back-to-back games over UAB and Arkansas and shown signs of an offensive resurgence behind quarterback Jevan Snead and the versatile Dexter McCluster. The Rebels are off to their best start since 2003.
