AUBURN, Ala. (AP) - Auburn wide receiver Montez Billings has left the football team for personal reasons.

Tigers coach Gene Chizik said the senior decided to leave the Auburn program to pursue other opportunities. Chizik said Billings had already received his degree from Auburn.

Billingsley had 55 catches for 645 yards and one touchdown in 34 career games with the Tigers. He was the leading receiver for Auburn last season with 24 catches for 271 yards.

Billings had missed the first two games of the season while serving a four-game suspension imposed by the NCAA over an academic issue.
