With Ida out of the way, let the great weather return!

The remnants of Hurricane Ida, now combined with a large low pressure area, are buffetting part of the eastern seaboard with heavy rain, high winds and raging surf and waves.  Well after giving us record rainfall yesterday, that system is actually helping us out now by slowing the west to east progression of other systems across the US mainland. As a result, we have some really great
weather coming up.  The remaining clouds will go away tonight, and I expect plenty of sunshine Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, and no worse than partly cloudy skies on Sunday.  Now there will still be a cool breeze through Thursday, but the wind will be lighter by Friday and a nice warmup will get here for the weekend with temperatures returning to the 70’s. A weak cold front may bring a few scattered showers next Monday or Tuesday.
