Tuesday’s wet, cool weather will yield to sunshine, drier and warmer conditions on Wednesday.
A few showers or some drizzle will linger this evening, and with very damp conditions continuing, some fog will form tonight, and I could see it getting fairly dense in places. So that could be a factor for tomorrow morning’s rush hour. Overall Wednesday will be a much nicer day than Tuesday with clouds and fog giving way to sunshine, and with the sunshine will come a nice warmup as afternoon temperatures will reach the low 70’s. The high pressure that brings us the pleasant change Wednesday will quickly scoot off to the east Wednesday night and Thursday, and that will set the stage for a southerly flow that will maintain the warm conditions for Thursday and Friday. But that southerly flow will also bring moisture our way from the Gulf of Mexico. That could promote a shower as early as Thursday, and there will be scattered thunderstorms on Friday as a cold front enters stage west. That front now looks like a slow mover, and that means showers and thunderstorms will continue Friday night and Saturday, which also happens to be Halloween. So at this point, I would have to say that rain could be a factor for Friday night football, and also for the Auburn game Saturday, and maybe for trick or treaters. It does appear that nicer weather returns for Sunday so the weather should be just fine for the race in Talladega on Sunday.
