Strong cold front to be main player through tomorrow bringing downpours, gusty winds and colder air.

A cold front is pushing through east Mississippi, and will cross Alabama tonight.  We are tracking rain showers with rotating cores just ahead of the front, and there is still a chance one or two of these will cause a brief, small tornado over west Alabama this evening.  I call them rain showers with rotating cores because there is very little, and in some cases, no lightning with them.  With instability very limited, the threat will diminish later this evening.  Rain will fall heavily at times overnight, then the rain will end fairly quickly Saturday morning.  Halloween will be a very cool day with the clouds breaking up during the midday hours.  Saturday night will be chilly with clear skies…good conditions during the evening for trick or treaters with temperatures near 49.  Sunday and Monday look really nice with sunshine and temperatures reaching the middle 60’s.
Don’t forget to push your clocks back 1 hour before going to bed Saturday night.
