Some storms will move in for the overnight period, and another round is due late in the week.

Clouds and mild conditions will continue this evening, and I cannot rule out a shower here and there, but I think for now, not a whole lot will happen.  That will change late tonight as a cold front moves in.  The front has a lot of support across the northern states, not so much here in the south.  There is some shear present, enough in fact to support severe weather.  However instability is more modest, so I am not expecting a major outbreak of severe weather.  Still there certainly could be some heavy rains, strong wind gusts and plenty of lightning.
A shower may linger early tomorrow, but most of Wednesday will be dry, and there might be a little sunshine in the afternoon.  It will be slightly cooler and less humid than today.
A big ridge of high pressure will build back over the southeastern state later this week, and will literally butt heads with another cold front coming in from the west.  It will be a tug of way, and i think the high will win out on Thursday with mainly dry weather.  At some point the front will make enough eastward progress to break through the ridge.  I think we will get some showers and thunderstorms Friday night and Saturday.
