Rain spreading eastward, finally, and it will be wet into Wednesday morning.

The rain was delayed a bit for many of us, but it now is arriving and most all areas will be wet by midnight.  There are heavy downpours within the mass of rain, but the later arrival and what looks like an earlier departure Wednesday, will probably mean rainfall totals that don’t get too out-of -hand.  From this point on, I think amounts will average about an inch with some pockets around 2 inches.  It still looks like a very wet morning rush hour.
It will stay damp Wednesday afternoon and night, but not much additional rain will fall.  Skies will stay cloudy and temperatures will peak around 70 degrees in the afternoon.
The next system will bring another shot of rain Thursday with amounts of 1/2” or less likely.  Then a rather dramatic turn to cooler and drier weather will start Thursday night and continue through the weekend.
