Quiet Thursday night in progress.
Sunshine dominated the skies across central Alabama on Thursday, and I really see no reason to expect anything different on Friday. Clear skies overnight will promote temperatures easing down into the middle and upper 60’s. Friday will be another sunny day with just a few “flat” cumulus clouds dotting the skies during the midday and afternoon hours. It will be very warm again with high temperatures between 90 and 95 across the area, but humidity values will remain at moderate levels.
Friday night will be mostly clear, and that brings us to the celebration of our nation’s birthday on Saturday. I really expect most of the day will be rainfree with just a slight increase in clouds and humidity. There is a small chance of a thundershower Saturday afternoon or evening, but I think the firework’s displays will come off cleanly in most locations.
Rain chances will increase Sunday and Monday as a front crawls closer to us from the north with scattered thunderstorms in the forecast thost 2 days, with the showers most widespread between 1 pm and 9 pm each day.
