Overall A Rather Nice Weekend
There is plenty of action on the weather maps this Friday. But most of the action is elsewhere and for the most part, will stay away from us this weekend.
We start with tropical storm Kyle, a storm over the Atlantic. It may reach hurricane status tomorrow, but will not be a factor here. In fact it will stay mainly east of the US mainland, though it will make a close brush with New England on Sunday. Another system is that low pressure area that came ashore in North Carolina earlier today. It is already spreading some high clouds into Alabama with those clouds starting to thicken up in the northeastern counties of the state. The clouds will continue spreading westward, with skies likely to be fairly overcast Saturday morning, especially over the eastern half of the area. I cannot completely rule out there be a couple of sprinkles tomorrow afternoon in a few spots, but most areas will stay dry. And as the system exits off to the northeast tomorrow night, the clouds will leave setting the stage for a very nice day on Sunday.
