One more warm day on tap

The incredible spell of nice weather continues, and we get to enjoy another pleasant night and a beautiful day tomorrow.  Temperatures will fall down to near 50 tonight, and then recover to the range of 75 to 80 tomorrow.  That won’t be high enough for record warmth, but it will be very un-November-like just the same.  The high pressure area at the center of the dry, pleasant air mass will shift east of us tonight, and we will notice some increase in cloudiness tomorrow.  A cold front will begin to move into northwest sections of Alabama late tomorrow night, and will cross the rest of the state on Friday.  And that will mean some showers and maybe a thunderstorm or two.  I had been thinking that the rain would probably not reach Birmingham until after daybreak on Friday…there is a new run of the models this afternoon that suggests that the showers may arrive later Thursday night, so if future runs agree, and if the data dictates, I might have to speed up the arrival just a bit.
Regardless of the arrival, it will be drying out Friday night, and the weekend still looks dry and cooler.
The next storm is due Tuesday of next week.
