Nice break from the oppressive heat and humidity.

It really feels rather good outside with temperatures falling through the 70’s and the humidity at moderate levels.  And it will feel great for early risers on Tuesday with temperatures in the middle 60’s.  Tuesday will be another brilliantly sunny day, and temperatures will quickly warm to the upper 80’s at lunchtime and to the low 90’s in the afternoon.  However once again the humidity will stay low, and it looks to me like Wednesday will be another sunny and very warm day with highs in the low 90’s, but afternoon humidity values between 25 and 30%.
Of course with July only 2 days away, we know the relatively comfortable air cannot last, and indeed starting Wednesday night and Thursday, higher humidity values will start returning.  That combined with some weak disturbances in the upper atmosphere will lead to a return of at least some afternoon thundershower potential, and yes that could be at least somewhat of a factor for the holiday weekend.
