Nice and quite the rest of this Monday night, Tuesday morning.

The last remaining thundershower of the day is in the process of disappearing now near Double Springs in Winston county.  It will be totally gone shortly, and the overnight period will be mostly clear and dry with temperatures coming to rest in the middle and upper 60’s.  Tuesday will get off to a sunny start and that sunny start will promote a rapid rise in temperatures with readings reaching the low 80’s around lunchtime on their way to reaching the 90 degree mark in the afternoon.  Now on Monday, a few small thundershowers formed across central Alabama, and I would look for the same thing to happen Tuesday afternoon.  The coverage might be slightly higher Tuesday, but I am not looking for widespread action.
There will be an increase in the percentage of the area getting rain Wednesday afternoon, but I still expect the most active day to be Thursday.  On that day, a cold front will arrive and that will set off some thunderstorms.  Coverage will be fairly high, and a few of the storms may get to strong or even severe levels.  Thursday will be cooler with highs in the low 80’s.
Dry weather returns Friday, and the weekend looks rather bright and warm.

Egad! The spelling gremlin that messes up the spelling on the broadcast graphics has popped up online too! I believe it’s “Nice and QUIET…“, not “Nice and QUITE…“.
