More life in this quiet weather pattern

After a great Election Day, this night is another superb one with clear skies and cool air in place.  I see little change for Wednesday and Thursday.  Each day will feature a good supply of sunshine with unseasonably warm afternoon highs between 75 and 80.  Thursday night will be mainly dry, then comes Friday and a cold front.  That will mean showers and maybe a thunderstorm or two.
The weekend will then follow with dry cooler weather, and Monday will likely be dry as well.  Then I expect a strong storm system to develop just west of the Mississippi River and then will come east, bringing us showers and thunderstorms.  That system looks considerably more potent than the one that will come through Friday, and as a result there is a chance there could be some severe storms with that one.
