Long underwear and heavy coats for high school playoffs

The coffee and hot chocolate will be the hot sellers tonight!  The high school playoffs will continue tonight with the coldest weather seen by the fans and players this season.  I expect the 2nd half of these games to be played with temperature near or even a little below freezing, so if you are headed to the Bucs-Spartans game in Hoover tonight or to any of the other contests, dress warmly.  Now if you are not furtunate to own a heavy winter coat, do your best to layer. And I mean layer!  Start with long underwear followed by sweats, jeans, sweaters and a jacket and don’t forget the extremities.  Wear gloves and double up on the socks if need be.  And sit close to other fans.  Collective body heat can work wonders!
There is no chance of any precipitation tonight, and the chance of precipitation will stay near zero over the weekend.  In fact except for the cold starts each morning, both Saturday and Sunday look fine with sunshine and afternoon temperatures mostly in the 50’s.
Rain chances return Monday with some showers a good bet.  Then I am forecasting dry weather Tuesday through Thanksgiving day with sunny to partly cloudy skies and temperatures at moderate levels.
More showers may arrive Friday.  Right now, and it is very early, the weather looks rather cloudy with some showers possible, though the showers may end before gametime.
