Here comes another shot of super-cold air!
It has been a nice afternoon…of course I am referring to the weather and not the sagging stock market. Sunshine and a light southerly breeze boosted temperatures to the low and middle 60’s, and it really felt good outside. And it actually will stay relatively mild into this evening. But it won’t last. Another shot of bitter cold Canadian air is rushing southward now, and we will feel the big change starting late tonight. By morning it will be around freezing, and tomorrow is going to be one of those days the temperature just does not rise much at all despite plenty of sunshine. I am forecasting 45 for the high tomorrow, and there will be a stiff wind all day to add some real bite to the cold. Of course the high school playoffs continue tomorrow night and all games will be played under clear skies and dry conditions, but also under very cold condtions as temperatures will fall below freezing before most of the games enter the 4th quarter. And although the wind will be diminishing, it will not disappear, so wind chill will still be a factor.
The weekend will offer generally good weather with ample sunshine and afternoon temperatures will be recovering reaching about 55 Saturday and 60 on Sunday.
The pattern changes Monday as another front arrives….this one will be more moist and so we expect some rain, especially Monday afternoon and night.
Behind that front, there will not be the same shot of cold air, so temperatures the rest of Thanksgiving week will be moderate.
