Here comes another cold front in this El Nino year.
After scattered morning showers, the weather improved dramatically today with a return of sunshine and much warmer conditions. It will stay nice and mild tonight with temperatures only falling into the middle and upper 60’s, and no rain expected. And for that matter, most of tomorrow will be okay with a mixture of clouds and sunshine, a gusty breeze and unseasonably warm conditions with temperatures approaching or even exceeding 80. I cannot rule out a thunderstorm during the late afternoon, mainly over west Alabama, but for many of us, it will be a dry day.
That will change tomorrow night. A strong cold front will approach and showers and thunderstorms will become more numerous. The storms will be most vigorous during the mid and late evening hours when a few warnings may be necessary. I think there will be a weakening trend overnight. Saturday is Halloween, and it will be much cooler. Rain will continue for awhile, though there is a chance it could end by the time trick or treaters start doing their thing. Still by that time, it will be quite chilly.
Sunday will be a much brighter, nicer day, and dry, mostly sunny weather will then continue well into next week.
