Except for some lingering drizzle, rain is over for now.  Bit it will not stay away for long.

The low pressure area that gave us the rain Tuesday is pushing away now and the significant rain is over.  Still the low-level air is very damp, and some drizzle can linger overnight, and there will be some fog as well.  The damp, dreary conditions will continue into the daylight hours of Wednesday, but I do expect skies to eventually clear, at least partially, and the afternoon will be nicer with temperatures reaching the low 70’s.  Uneventful weather will continue Wednesday night into Thursday, but moisture return will be very quick on Thursday as high pressure moves away to the east, and a cold front approaches slowly from the west.  That could mean some showers as early as Thursday afternoon and night, then waves of showers and thunderstorms will come our way Friday through Saturday.  The potential is there for heavy downpours, and for some strong storms as well.
Things will settle down nicely on Sunday with clearing skies and much drier conditions.
