Cold front arriving overnight, but rain very sparse.

The band of showers along a cold front to our west has become even more sparse this evening, and it looks as if only spotty rains will fall overnight.  I expect average rainfall amounts of only a trace to .05”.  The chance of rain for Tuesday is rather small as well, and given the movement of the front looks to be limited to areas from I-65 on east.  In other words folks around Birmingham may awake to a shower, but it should be gone by 9 am or so, and any rain chance should be gone in the eastern region by around noon.  The main change on Tuesday will be the drop in temperatures with readings holding mostly in the 50’s.  Tuesday night will be partly cloudy and colder with dry cool conditions on Wednesday, and dry weather prevailing on Thursday and Friday as well.
There is an increasing chance we will have some rain on Saturday as models are beginning to come together on a development of a low pressure area in the Gulf of Mexico that will ride along near the coast and give us a period of wet weather.
