Break in the rain will be short-lived, as another wet system will approach for weekend.
The real “meat” of this forecast is the period from Friday night into Saturday. I think it has the potential to be wet with periods of rain and a few thunderstorms as a cold front moves our way from the west. The front is a slow mover, and so I think it would be a mistake to forecast much improvement for Sunday. I am going with a 90% rain chance for Saturday, and 50% for Sunday. Early next week, another front will arrive and that will open the gates for cooler, drier weather by Monday night and Tuesday.
Now for tonight, dry weather is on the bill, though some patchy fog will likely form later on. Much of Thursday will be uneventful with partially sunny skies, though there may be a shower in the afternoon. It will be warmer with highs reaching the middle 80’s. Friday will be even warmer, though some scattered thunderstorms may start arriving in the afternoon.
