Big Weekend Events; Decent Weather

» 0 Comments | Post a Comment

I admit to being quite surprised this morning upon waking up and looking at the radar view that Meteorologist Stephanie Walker displayed on NBC-13 HD.  Showers had aggressively developed and moved into east Mississippi, and a few of the showers had even spilled over into extreme west Alabama.  And they are still there now.  So if you are going to a high school game in Fayette, Marion, Winston or western Walker counties this evening, you should probably at least be ready for a shower.  But I expect most of the games to be played under dry conditions, and where it does rain, it is not likely to last very long.  As for the rest of the weekend, clouds will likely dominate our skies, but I would not expect it to be gloomy.  And there won’t be much rain.  Now there could certainly be a stray shower somewhere tomorrow or Sunday, with the best chance over southern and western counties.  But again any rain will be brief, and temperatures will be comfortable with lows between 60 and 64, and highs close to 80.
