Authentic shot of much cooler air on the way.
Dry weather will continue overnight with temperatures in the 60’s. A little fog could form, and there will be a few passing clouds. Monday will be arrival day for the well-advertised cold front. Since it will be the day the front arrives, the full significance of the temperature change will not be realized yet. However the dewpoints, and hence the humidity will start falling in the afternoon.
Skies Monday will feature sunshine mixed with some clouds, and it will be a bit breezy at times. I cannot completely rule out a passing shower with the front, but I think it is only about a 1 in 10 chance.
That brings us to Monday night. With light northwest winds, the cool air will keep flowing in, and clear skies will allow efficient loss of heat into space. And that means it will turn noticeably cooler with temperatures sinking down to near 50, and probably in the range of 45-50 over the northern half of the area.
Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday will be truly beautiful days with sunshine, low humidity, and very pleasant temperatures.
Moisture returns a bit late in the week, and that combined with an approaching weak front could mean a couple of scattered showers Friday into Saturday.
