Another hot day

It is going to be another hot day across the south.  Our high will be around 97 and the heat index could top out around 104.  Sunday will still be hot with a high around 96.  Models continue to show the upper ridge responsible for the heat backing off early next week.  I am doubting this scenario.  I am still forecasting low 90’s Tuesday and Wednesday, but I wouldn’t be surprised if we have to up those numbers.  Typically the models back off these ridges too fast..so don’t be surprised if you see us up these numbers in future forecasts!  Rain chances look slim right into the middle of next week.  If the ridge breaks down, t’storms will return to the area.
