Another Great Night Out There

Temperatures fell quickly after sunset, and most all locations were in the 60’s by 9 pm.  It will be another cool night with low temperatures in the low 60’s in Birmingham, but easily down in the middle to upper 50’s in the cooler locations.  Just like the first 2 days of the work week, Wednesday will be simply a delight with brightly sunny skies and afternoon temperatures reaching the middle 80’s.
Our main forecast challenge as we approach the weekend will come from the non-tropical low developing off the South Carolina coastline.  Computer models show its influence expanding westward with time, and that could lead to an increase in cloud cover here on Friday and Saturday, and just possibly a stray shower breaking out in the higher elevations of Northeast Alabama.  However I think the odds are against any rain falling in Alabama, and even a few showers would occur, they would not amount to much.
