Absolute perfect weather to continue for a couple of more days.
A high amplitude weather pattern prevails across the lower 48 states, and that normally means periods of dramatically different weather. In other words nothing “wishy-washy” in this forecast.
We will continue to have great Autumn weather through Thursday, featuring crystal clear, rather chilly nights and sunny pleasantly warm days. Lows tonight will settle in a range from 45 to 50.
Highs tomorrow will be in the middle to upper 70’s, and then it will be just a little warmer on Thursday.
Friday will be a much different story. Moisture will return in rapid fashion Thursday night leading to higher humidity and some cloud cover. I cannot rule out a shower before sunrise Friday across the western counties, and then I certainly expect some showers and thunderstorms on Friday. There will be enough shear on Friday to promote some severe weather, though it remains to be seen if there will be enough instability. High school Friday night football will feature some wet contests for the 3rd week in a row.
It does look better for the college games on Saturday as the moisture will be heading to the east coast. Saturday and Sunday in central Alabama will be mainly rainfree with partially sunny skies.
