A few showers have popped up this afternoon.

It’s a dry Friday afternoon for most of the area.  A few showes have popped up south of Birmingham around northern Chilton County.  Most area high school football games will be in great shape tonight with just a few clouds.

Wetter weather will return this weekend with scattered showers and storms on Saturday, and especially Sunday. There will be some heavy downpours thorugh Labor Day and probably right into Tuesday.  There is a small chance of a shower in Auburn on Saturday before the game.  Tailgaters in Atlanta can expect dry conditions with highs in the mid 80’s before the Alabama game that night.
