Richard’s Jacks Home improvement blog begins

If you are a do-it-yourselfer, then this blog is for you.  Through the years I have done many home improvement projects.  From tile, to molding, to drywall, electrical, plumbing..well there isn’t much that I haven’t done.  Some of it I wouldn’t think of trying again, other things I would start today, if needed.  Your home is a very important investment.  It’s very important that we take care of that investment, and when necessary, improve it.  Not only will it pay-off down the road, but also we are improving our day-to-day life.  That’s what this blog is all about.  Making our home the best it can be-on a small budget.  I have many low-budget ideas, but also major, more expensive ones too-some not-so do-it-yourselfer.  Part of being a good homeowner is knowing where to draw the line.  What are items that you must hire to have done, and what are items that can be done for a fraction of the cost.  Our home we live in should be a reflection of our own personality.  What one person may like could be ugly to another.  That’s what makes our home so special.  That’s what this blog is all about-sharing ideas about how to improve your home.
Each month we will feature a theme… there will be at least one entry a week on this specific subject.
August-one of my favorite subjects-Tile (types of tile, installation, grout, maintenance)
September-Indoor Kitchens
October-Outdoor fireplaces and kitchens
November-bathrooms
December-flooring

Also, if you are proud of your home improvement projects-send me pictures!  I will feature them on my blog-
