Wiregrass Hospice will be offering a camp for children this summer.  Camp Braveheart is designed for children, ages 7-14, who have experienced the loss of a loved one.  Regardless of the type of loss or the reason for loss, all children throughout the service are invited to apply to attend Camp Braveheart.  A prior affiliation with Wiregrass Hospice is not a prerequisite.
Experiencing a loss of a loved one is hard at any age, but especially hard on a child.  Camp Braveheart is run by clinical experts who understand the healing process and who genuinely care about the children that are left behind.  While the emphasis is on healing, there is play time as well.  The children will participate in indoor and outdoor activities such as arts and crafts, boating, field games and swimming.  Children will also have the opportunity to honor the people they have lost with a very special memorial service.
