Today we visited Macy’s at the Riverchase Galleria to show the latest RED hot fashions.  But it’s not all about looking good in today’s segment…it’s also about
raising awareness that heart disease is the Number 1 killer of women.  Cardiovascular disease kills more women than the next five causes of death combined, including all forms of cancer.  February is American Heart Month, a component of Go Red For Women, the American Heart Association’s national campaign to make women aware of their risk of heart disease and learn how to make heart-healthy choices every day.

About Go Red For Women
Heart disease is the Number 1 killer of women age 20 and over, and about one in three women die of cardiovascular disease.  Women have the power to change these statistics and the fact that heart disease kills one woman every minute when they make the right choices for their hearts.  Choose to walk and not sit.  Choose to eat baked and not fried.  Choose to breathe and not smoke.  Go Red For Women is a nationwide movement that encourages women make life-changing choices to beat heart disease together. For more information about Go Red For Women, call 1-888-MY-HEART (1-888-694-3278) or visit GoRedForWomen.org. The movement is nationally sponsored by Macy’s and Merck & Co., Inc.
