Seven years ago - a medical conference was going on near the Brooklyn Bridge.  Several UAB personnel were there - and put their medical training to good use.

HOOVER—The City of Hoover paid tribute to City of Hoover employees and Hoover residents that have served in the War on Terror since the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001.

Ala. Gov. Bob Riley has ordered that flags be flown at half-staff on state government buildings in honor of those who were killed in the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.

The Birmingham Water Works will not be open Sept. 11, in order to remember those killed in the 9-11 terrorist attacks.

Events are planned all across the Birmingham metro area on Thursday to remember the 9-11 terrorist attacks.
