JASPER, Ala. (AP) - Walker County authorities say an Empire man was shot to death at a residence in an argument over a popular video game.

Sheriff John Mark Tirey says 38-year-old Michael Alan Dean died Saturday morning from a single gunshot wound to his chest after being shot during an argument over a PlayStation Portable.

Deputies are searching for Dean’s ex-brother-law, 33-year-old Chris Dewayne Williams Sr., also in Empire, who fled after the shooting.

The first of two 911 calls about the shooting came from a child.

Dean was pronounced dead at Walker Baptist Medical Center.

I went to school with Michael and my heart thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends during this tragic time. I hope that they find the person that done this and that he spends the rest of his life behind bars. Some one who will shoot some one over a game should have been in jail or prison a long time ago. Why would you shoot some one over a stupid game??
A 33 year old man shot some one over a game?????  A life was lost because of some one elses stupidness.
