SHELBY COUNTY: The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office is releasing more information into the deaths of five men at a local apartment complex.  Today, the sheriff’s office says they’ve collected a litany of evidence, including:

*24 search warrants
*14 vehicles
*14 weapons
*426 grams of methamphetamine
*20 grams of cocaine

The sheriff’s department says their investigation into the murders continues.  Investigators have identified 4 of the 5 victims, with a tentative ID on the 5th victim.  Investigators found the five men inside an apartment on Buckhorn Cove Wednesday the 20th.  Later reports showed the men had been shocked and tortured, before having their throats slit.  Investigators say it was part of a “murder-for-hire” scheme.  Four men are behind bars, each facing murder charges.

I don’t even live in Shelby County, but think it is a shame the amount of time, man-hours, and law enforcement money budgeted for crime scene investigations that has been spent on these horrendous murders that don’t involve legal citizens of the community or country.  Four out of five of the men arrested are not even citizens.  I know the time and effort had to be spent but what a waste of tax payer dollars.
