UPDATE: Aunt of 16 Year Old Birmingham Murder Suspect Says Teen Didn’t do it

BIRMINGHAM:  NBC13 HD News talked the Aunt of 16 year old murder suspect Pierre Smith.  Tanyika Edwards says Smith, her nephew, was not the person who shot 4 people, killing 2 of them, last weekend.  He faces capital murder charges, and is being held without bond in the killing of Willie Daniels and Jason Showers. Police say security threw Smith out of Banana Joe’s in 5 Points South for fighting Saturday morning around 3:30am. 

Edwards says her nephew, was injured in a fight at the club, but says police told her he was injured, and they were taking him to the hospital.

If there is a video of the shooting in the parking lot and the shooter is Smith, then he needs to tried and sentenced for capital murder.
