The Tuscaloosa Police Department would like your help in locating the driver and/or vehicle involved in a felony hit and run accident that occurred Saturday June 26, 2009.
The accident happened around 8:45 pm CT in the 900 block of Greensboro Avenue near the Battle-Friedman House.
The victim, 65 year old Willard Forward, was loading chairs into his parked pickup truck when he was struck by what witnesses described as a light colored SUV travelling southbound.
TPD’s Accident Reconstruction responded and processed the scene, recovering white paint fragments and pieces of plastic, amber-colored lens.
Mr. Forward is expected to make a full recovery.
The suspect vehicle may be a light colored or white SUV and should have damage to the right front tire and rim and possibly a broken, amber corner or side-marker lens.
Anonymous tips that lead to the apprehension of this suspect may be eligible for a cash reward.
