NWS Confirms Three Tornadoes Touched Down in Alabama

    TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) - Storm survey teams from the National
Weather Service confirmed storm damages in Coffee, Dale, Henry and
Houston counties were caused by three small tornadoes.

    The tornadoes Wednesday, packing 100 mph-plus winds, caused no
injuries or deaths.

    In Coffee County, an EF-1 tornado damaged the Enterprise Civic
Center. The same twister touched down near the Fort Rucker military
base causing sporadic damage.

    A second twister, rated EF0, moved into Henry and Dale counties.
A house north of state route 27 was damaged.

    A third tornado, also an EF0, was spotted near Wicksburg in
Houston County. It caused minor damage to several cars at an auto
dealership.
