Sunday Homicide A Hate Crime

The victim Luis Dagoberto Hernandez, 40, was found outside apartments on Amberwood Drive. Information detectives received initially pointed to jealousy as a possible cause. They now believe that was false information to cover up a hate crime.

Investigators now say this may have been a random killing and they are now working with the FBI on the possibility of charging the suspect under the Federal Hate Crime Statute.

18 year old Kordarius Beasley is already charged with murder and being held on a $100,000 bond.
