Sewer rates to increase in Cordova, Alabama

The Cordova, Alabama city council voted Tuesday night to raise sewer rates 12%.  It’s the first increase in the rates since 1990.  On a normal bill, an increase of $2 to $3 per month will be seen by customers.  Mayor Jack Scott attributes the hike to increases in overhead for the system.
