CROSSROADS, Ala. (AP) - The search continues for two Alabama hunters missing since Sunday.

Dozens of officers and volunteers searched 20 square miles of the Mobile-Tensaw Delta on Wednesday. Alan Clemons, 29, and Jason Brown, 23, of Baldwin County were last seen at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday paddling their canoe on the Tensaw River north of Byrnes Lake.

Searchers found the pair’s canoe and a paddle but have very little additional information.

The men had told relatives they were going squirrel hunting in hardwoods along the river, although they also liked to head to Gravine Island to hunt feral hogs.

Authorities say that the mission is still a search operation, but several of the boats involved Wednesday were looking for bodies beneath the surface.
