Road closures announces for weekend Tuscaloosa triathlon

On Saturday August 22, 2009, the City of Tuscaloosa will host the USA Triathlons.
There will be one event in the morning, and one in the afternoon.

The following roads will be closed to traffic beginning at 6:45am CT and reopen about 5:00pm CT:

Jack Warner Parkway from the Tuscaloosa News to Crescent Ridge Road.
Bryant Bridge will close entirely.
Queen City at University Blvd. to Jack Warner Parkway
University Blvd. at Greensboro Ave
28th Avenue and 29th Avenue from Capital Park to Stillman Blvd.
3rd Street and 4th Street at Queen City Avenue.
4th Street at Greensboro Avenue.
5th Street from Queen City Avenue to Greensboro Avenue.
Jack Warner Parkway will re-open to traffic from McFarland Blvd. to Crescent Ridge Road at approximately 12:00pm, but will remain closed from McFarland Blvd. to the Tuscaloosa News.

Other streets and avenues may need to be closed.
If you need to get to a business or home along the route with a closed street or avenue, see a TPD officer at a barricade and an escort will be provided for you.
