Penske Truck Robbery Suspects Sought in Tuscaloosa

TUSCALOOSA, Ala.—Tuscaloosa Police Department officers and investigators are searching for two suspects who robbed a delivery driver and took his truck and cargo.
On Thursday July 17th, between 1 a.m. and 2 a.m., a delivery driver was robbed at gunpoint. The driver’s personal possessions were taken and the truck he was driving was stolen.
The truck was a yellow Penske rental truck # 548004 and bearing Alabama Tag 58X20699. The truck contained medical products such as I.V. supplies, diabetic supplies, etc. The truck also contained a large shipment of prescription narcotics and non-prescription medicine. They also suspect that some of the medical supplies may have been dumped.
The victims employer is offering a $10,000 reward for information that results in the apprehension and prosecution of the suspects and recovery of the stolen property.
Anyone with information about the truck or any of the medical supplies is asked to call the Tuscaloosa P.D. at 205-349-2121.
