Oxford police issue murder warrant

Oxford Police Investigators have obtained a Capital Murder 1 warrant for Jesse Earl Scheuing of 1204 Atlanta Ave Waycross, GA 31501. Scheuing was paroled in Aug 2008 from Valdosta GA State Prison. Scheuing is wanted for the Murder of Sean Adam Cook of Oxford at Pak A Sak on 11-28-08. Scheuing is believed to have fled the area and may be traveling to Michigan.

As before Scheuing should be considered armed and extremely dangerous and should not be approached by anyone other than law enforcement. If you see Scheuing you are urged to contact your local law enforcement authorities. Oxford Police may be reached at (256) 831-3121. There is no bond set on this warrant.

Scheuing is described on the warrant as 5’ 11”, 183 lbs., blue eyes and brown hair. His date of birth is 12-17-1986. The whereabouts of Scheuing are not know to law enforcement at this time.
Oxford Police Investigators have arrested a second suspect by the name of James Merrill Potts of 7200 Cedar Springs Rd Lt. 50 Anniston Mobile Home Park Weaver, AL. Potts is now in the Calhoun County Sheriffs Office Jail charged with Capital Murder 1 with no bond set. Potts is described as 6’ 03”, 200 lbs. , brown eyes and black hair. His date of birth is 02-28-1987. Potts is believed to have been with Scheuing on the night of the Robbery/ Murder of Sean Cook.
