Nude body of woman found in Jefferson County

Authorities are on the scene of where the body of a woman was found in Jefferson County.
Sheriffs Deputies responded to the report of a body found in a wooded area just off of Rocky Ridge Lane in the South end of Jefferson County Friday, January 16, 2009.
The body was described as a black female in her mid to late 20’s with head trauma.
The body was completely nude and there were clothes lying nearby.
It is likely the victim was killed in another location and dumped there.
It is unknown how long the body has been there but indications are at least since yesterday and maybe longer.
She was found about fifty yards off of the roadway laying on a sparsely graveled road that leads into the woods.
Investigators are working to identify the victim and anyone with information is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office at 205-325-1450.
