Holloway movie airs on Lifetime

Sunday night, a new movie aired about the disappearance of Mountain Brook teen Natalee Holloway.

The Lifetime network movie called “The Natalee Holloway Story” starring Tracy Pollan as Beth Holloway Twitty.

The movie is based on Beth Twitty’s book Loving Natalee: A Mother’s Testament of Hope and Faith.

Folks across the country tuned in to watch “The Natalee Holloway Story” - including Birmingham attorney Charlie Ratcliff, a man who was born in Aruba but now lives here.

He says Natalee’s disappearance is still a difficult topic for folks in Aruba.

“To say it’s been devastating to the island is an understatement. Devastating emotionally. A lot of people are heart broken and horrified one of our guests was missing. There just wasn’t anything we could do to make her come back,“ says Ratcliff.

Thanks, kelonwheels, I’ll email them, too.  And I think I’ll copy and paste in all these comments from everyone else.  In the meantime, please everyone do email them at lifetime for a re-showing of the movie.  The handling of the advertising for the movie wasn’t good and I’m sure a great many missed it.

I just emailed Lifetime to tell them to please play the movie on Lifetime so we can all see this movie, as promised.  Being in Birmingham, AL this is very close to my heart.  You can contact them at www.mylifetime.com. Maybe if we all contact them they will show it on Lifetime!!

I am sorry if people take that as most people don’t have it. LMN is pretty much like a extra channel, such as mtv 2 exc. You would have to subscribe to this with your cable provider to get this channel, mostly in a package. Maryland being Maryland, are cable packages are over priced so most company’s offer this. This movie was a high profile movie, just as one would be on HBO so they would show it on different stations to promote it.

sounds like many people do not have the lifetime movie network that one poster in Maryland refers to.  I’ve never heard of this.  Why, then, would they continually plug this movie on our stations that would never get this movie?  Everything else they advertise is on my channel.  This seems strange to me.

This movie did air. I am from Maryland, and most people in this state have the LMN (life time movie network) these are the only people that were able to see this movie. I am sure if you go to the Life time website and complain then they will air it sooner on the regular Life time channel. I am sorry that you guys missed this movie for now. It was a very emotional movie for me to watch as a mom.

I hope someone here in the Birmingham
Market area, will read these posts and do something about it. We would like to see it. My cable service only has Lifetime.

I didn’t get the Natalee Holloway story on my lifetime channel here in southern CA either.  Same thing as the other comment stated: a message was beneath the replacement movie with Sigourney Weaver stating that the Natalee Holloway story can be seen on the Lifetime movie channel at this time(???)  On my TV service there is only one lifetim channel and it sure never showed this movie.  I can’t help but wonder if the kids judge father got the movie scrapped at the last second.  I really wanted to see this movie.  when will it be on for real?

This movie was nowhere to be found.  I was very interested in seeing this movie all of the previous week, and it wasn’t on.  This article is incorrect (i.e. “Folks across the country tuned in to watch “The Natalee Holloway Story” -“) I really do hope they show it, I was so upset that I missed out on it last night.

I just read on the Lifetime website that it was on “Lifetime Movie Network (LMN)“ I’m not sure if that’s the same as “Lifetime” or something different, maybe like HBO or Cinnemax?

I agree with the above poster…I did not find The Natalee Holloway Story!
Very disappointed.

I don’t know about anyone else, but I didn’t get the Natalee Holloway that was to be shown on Lifetime on Sunday night at 8pm CST.  What aired instead of it was a movie about a young man named Bobby was gay and was hesitant to tell his family.  I live in the Roebuck area of Birmingham and have Dish Network, but the Natalee Holloway movie just was not shown.  Also, you who put out the news on this site show the past tense of the movie having aired, but you dated it Sunday, April 19 at 6:14pm.  Why do you incorrectly report something as having happened, that didn’t happen, and still label yourselves as a news organization that says “Because Accuracy Matters” ??

Thank you.
