New Alabama U.S. Immigration Office

HOMEWOOD, Ala. (AP) - U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement
has opened its new office in Homewood, relocating from neighboring
Birmingham.
Covering all of the northern district of Alabama, the new office
will house all agents, officers and support staff under one roof.
Special agent Michael A. Holt says more than 100 guests from
several local, state and federal law enforcement agencies attended
Thursday’s opening.
Holt of New Orleans says the building’s design has all the
latest technology.
Holt, who oversees the Office of Investigations in Louisiana,
Mississippi, Alabama, Arkansas and Tennessee, met with the Homewood
staff and congratulated them on completing the move.
