National Cemetery Dedication Sunday In Montevallo

A new National Cemetery for military veterans will be dedicated Sunday, July 13th in Montevallo. The new cemetery is the third such cemetary in Alabama.
The site has been nicknamed, “The Arlington of the South.“ It’s in addition to two other National Cemeteries in the state, one in Seale and another in Mobile.
The cemetery’s 479 acres will initially have room for about 11,000 grave sites. The site will include a public information center and be equipped with an electronic gravesite locator.
